Horticultural Robotics Unit

Horticultural Robotics Unit will develop robotics technology to realize a smart, data-driven agricultural system and expand it to vegetable and fruit production facilities.
For greenhouse cultivation, we are developing a data-driven Just-In-Time & Quality (JIT&Q) production system that makes agricultural production as stable as industrial production. Through growth and quality monitoring of crops and AI-based control of the greenhouse environment, we achieve planned production of high-quality, uniform crops. Through this system, we aim to save labor, improve productivity, and add value to crops. For robotization of fruit production, we are developing robotic arms to automate multiple tasks of tree management. We are also developing data platform that supports robots/growers to do adequate management work for high quality fruit.
